* Действие фильма начинается в конце XIX века, на дороге Бразильской империи в штате Минас-Жерайс. The play tells the story of a small rural family in a Brazilian rural wilderness. They live a peaceful life, eating simple food, they come up with some new ideas, thinking about a better life. But the powers are not kind. One day they are attacked by a mysterious monster. The monsters take survivor after survivors' relatives, and get rid of them. The story comes to the following conclusion: a drunk Indian woman, having tricked out her neighbors, drops them off at the deserted church, not realising its name - "Santa Teresa" - where all they live are killed by this monstery. Sentinels do Espano is the authentic story of that location.
