* Действие фильма начинается в далеком 1966 году, когда молодой герой фильма Billy the Kid dies after being shot twice at a dance hall, and his sister, Meg, turns to his aunt Theo. Theo has taken over, and organizes a group of young members, called the Shades, in the hopes of sealing over their brother's life, and helping him move on from everything that's happened to him. Shades is not an unlikely group of friends, as members are given choice between becoming Shades and spending time with their own elderly friends, or keeping their identity a secret. The age of the membership is 18, so Shades will inevitably have many debates and conversations with their friends as they come to terms with the fact that Billy will eventually die.
