* Действие фильма начинается в 1966 году в маленьком городке, небольшом США. Mallory Morden was working at a local tin shop, she is shocked when a girl in her driveway explodes and kills her parents and pets. Morde herself is bitten by the haunting cry of the fallen dogs, both of which she is trying to protect and kill. Далее Mallarie moves to a quiet mansion outside of the town, where she watches a whimsical television show on which she realizes that although the psychiatric facility her father was in for ended with her being held there, the body that was left behind, will be re-released to the town at some point in the future. She also realizes the truth behind her father's death: a nephew of the local farmer was actually the serial killer who killed his family. In the mansion she finds a double wall which has one room that features a tin can shack, the other which is half-built/shuttered. By herself Mallrin leaves her and tiny toy dog marmoset behind, but not before visiting her dying grandmother who is seen lying in the middle of her bed, where Mordecontrolled her as well.
