He played the leading role in his last Tamil film Dhup Krishna (1977) and was so popular that he received a casting call to join the big Tamils in AAP (1970) and did his best for the movie. Shilpa Rana was in the movie but was unavailable on short notice and the role was offered to A. J. Raj, who was denied. The popular music of A. K. Seeman was provided by Dilip Nagarjuna. Thasar Jaffraya, Umangi Jadhav, Nitesh Kapoor, Rajashree, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Aditya Anastasia Smetanina and Rajendra Prasad performed duties of the production designer. Jalabhai Narayan Rai was in charge of the song composition and lyrics. Patna Balachander was the photography supervisor. Ambik Akbar was in control of the acting. Kumar Azad was in lead role and Sadhvi Mahendru was in supporting role. Manoj Kumar and Rahul Parmar were in the roles of mafia boss Chandleri and cops Gujarati. Then there was Z.
