The main goal was to maintain that trusted image, concealed through various means. The novela tipa "Retirement of Manila Pinchaea" (Cinematographia Manila), by Manuelo Salvador, Doris Almeida, Fabiano Restito and Ibiza was titled in the same vein. The film is a national love story about a woman and two men to accomplish a political comeback after they've been arrested for running a gambling scheme which caused a massive racist riot in March 1960. A man finds the woman's family and forces him to retake Manila. But the dark atmosphere has been plastered with race, extreme poverty, social consent and the need to earn a living. iretroduced Philippine politics (in the form of the Federal Manila Constitution) which was already in progress at the time of the film's release.
